The Ben Eder Memorial Scholarship is an annual merit based award of $1000 given to a high-school senior planning on attending a 4 year university or college.

Optimist Ben Eder Scholarship

The Optimist Club of Newport has created a $1000.00 scholarship in Ben Eder's name. Given annually , and named the "Optimist Ben Eder Scholarship," it recognizes a graduating senior, who, like Ben, was committed to community service.

The scholarship honors students actively involved in community service (which can include junior optimists activities, honor society, and other community service activities during high school years)
